Glass reactor is mainly using its double-layer glass characteristics,we can then place the middle of the sandwich reaction materials(somewhat called reaction solvent),through the stirring reaction at atmospheric pressure or negative pressure,glass reactor through the double-layer reactor sandwich,injected into the constant temperature(high temperature or low temperature)hot solution or coolant,the materials in the reactor for constant temperature heating or cooling,and can provide stirring.In this way,the medium inside the glass reactor sandwich(such as:frozen liquid,heated water or heated oil and so on)can be circulated through stirring to achieve the heating or cooling effect.It is widely used as an ideal equipment in modern biochemical new material synthesis experiments.

What do I need to pay attention to when I use the glass reactor?

1,pay attention to heat preservation.Due to the small thickness of the interlayer in the middle of the glass reactor,the thermal insulation performance is poor.In the process of using high temperature and low temperature,users need to use insulation materials to protect the kettle body insulation.At the same time,the user needs to the kettle body of the reactor as well as the liquid-conducting tubes wrapped with insulation materials,pay attention to the thickness of the insulation layer to ensure a better insulation effect.

2,Material compatibility,to ensure that the reactants do not react chemically with the glass,especially for strong acids,alkalis or some halogen compounds,to use the appropriate chemical resistance of the glass.

3,temperature control medium selection.Generally speaking,the user will choose different nature of temperature control medium according to the required reaction temperature,as the reaction of heat propagation medium.Low temperature selection bath,room temperature selection water bath,high temperature selection oil bath.When using low or high temperatures,care is taken to select the right medium,the key being viscosity."Viscosity is too large medium,the circulation pump may not be able to carry,the medium circulation effect is not good,can not achieve the desired temperature control effect.Rashly replace the high-power circulation pump,the pressure into the medium is too high,easy to damage the double glass reactor liner,the reactor rupture."

4,the storage location needs to be reasonable.Double glass reactor as a reaction amplification test device,the volume is usually 50-150L,the volume can be customised for specific cases,therefore,the scale of the test should not be underestimated.Because the kettle body is made of glass,stainless steel for the support and casters,so the storage location needs to be carefully selected.In terms of storage conditions,although the casters can be fixed with foot buckles,but the stability is not strong.Therefore,users should pay attention to choose a flat place to put in the storage process,and keep the mechanical stirring centre consistent with the kettle,otherwise it is easy to shake and unstable,and safety accidents occur.In addition,it must be placed in a place with good ventilation.

5,the feeding precautions.Because the double-layer glass reactor is an independent reaction shelf,and the reserved refuelling port is small,so the refuelling process is difficult.Solid reagents can be formulated into solution and added into the kettle,liquid reagents can be pumped into the kettle through the supporting pump or oil pump.Especially,the reaction material is added into the kettle through constant pressure dripping funnel or common dripping funnel,which needs to be matched with corresponding mobile ladder so that the staff can add the test material.

6,Cleaning and maintenance,the reactor should be thoroughly cleaned before and after use to avoid residues affecting the results of the next experiment or causing corrosion to the equipment.

In addition,the one-time feeding amount of glass reactor should not be too large,the user needs to evaluate according to the temperature,reflux and pressure of the reaction,add the appropriate amount of material,generally should not exceed 2/3 of the kettle body.
